Every sprawling metropolitan area has its hubs, and for the greater Chicagoland region, Schaumburg serves as the hub of the area's northwest quadrant. Schaumburg is a fully developed city with a location convenient to the many dental schools in the Chicago area.
Beyond the local malls and attractions are dedicated professionals who care about their dental careers and want to make their specific dental professions in this region as great as they can be. With that in mind, the West Suburban Dental Hygienists' Societyhelped form the Illinois Dental Hygienists' Scholar Society several years ago, in conjunction with the Illinois Dental Hygienists' Association. The members of the Scholar Society support the funding of dental hygienist scholarships, volunteer in the communities they serve and vigorously promote the profession they have chosen to pursue.
