Schaumburg Veterinary Schools & Programs Schaumburg students pursuing a doctor of veterinary medicine degree may choose from two regional universities with colleges of veterinary medicine: The University of Wisconsin, Madison, and the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. The nearer of the two, in Wisconsin, offers graduate degrees in Animal Health and Biomedical Science in addition to the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree. The University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine features academic programs in Veterinary Biosciences, Clinical Medicine, Pathobiology, and Veterinary Diagnostics.

American Veterinary Medical Association accredited veterinary technology programs in the state of Illinois are located at Joliet Junior College and Parkland College in Champaign. Pre-Veterinary degrees for students preparing to enter veterinary medical school are available closer to Schaumburg. The College of DuPage, Glen Ellyn and the College of Lake County, Grayslake award associate degrees while bachelor degrees in biology and related fields are available at Elmhurst College and Wheaton College.
